Advanced & Specialty Classes

Your Open Water Certification means that you were trained how to use basic scuba equipment, and you have the minimum skills required to go diving. However, many dive operators often specify particular dives, usually deeper and more challenging ones, as advanced dives and therefore require the divers to hold an Advanced Certification before allowing particapation in the dive.

If you have logged atleast 24 dives, and have successfully completed 4 specialty training courses, all of which have to be conducted in an Open Water environment, then you have what it takes to be called an Advanced Diver and can apply for S.S.I.'s Advanced Diver Card.

If you have logged atleast 50 dives, and have successfully completed 4 specialty training courses and a Stress & Rescue course, then you have what it takes to be called a Master Diver and can apply for S.S.I.'s Master Diver Card.

Advanced Open Water Diver Program

Our Core Advanced Diver Program is designed to continue where our Open Waster Diver Course left off. Our experienced Instructors will sharpen your buoyancy skills, teach you night diving and limited visibility techniques and improve your underwater compass and natural navigation skills. Class size will be held to a maximum of 8 divers so your Instructor can provide personalized attention. The course will consist of home study, one evening of class discussion, and 2 days of diving. There will be a total of 6 dives covering 3 specialties. Card will be issued after completion of Core Advanced course, one additional Specialty course of your choice and a total of 24 logged dives.
