2008 Local Wreck Dives

Join us for a fun filled day or weekend of diving adventures aboard the "To Dive For" which departs from Indian River Inlet, Delaware.

Our local wrecks offer a chance to dive shallow or deep, encounter interesting marine life, sight see, hunt for artifacts, spear fish, catch lobsters, and take pictures of less commonly photographed subjects. For those divers who are less experienced or prefer more bottom time, we recommend trying one of our trips to Fenwick Shoals. The "To Dive For" is a 35’ Silverton twin, gas engine vessel. She carries 6 divers plus crew and is quite comfortable with a lot of room below to lounge around before and after the dive. She is equipped with multiple GPS receivers, LORAN, multiple VHF radios, multiple depth finders and multiple tanks of O2. A "fins on" ladder and swim platform make for easy boarding. Most dive sites are reached in forty five minutes to one and a half hours. The crew has been running wreck charters off the Maryland and Delaware coast for the last 17 years and both Captains are also Dive Masters and are trained in O2 rescue and CPR.

For a complete trip flyer which includes: trip cost, times, description of wrecks and directions to the boat download our PDF.

“The diving is fun and easy... the oyster bars are 10’-15’ deep with only a very minimal current. The viz. in the Fall can be 8’-15’ and all season long the worst is still an arms length which is all you need to find the oysters. - Captain Gerry McDonald

Oysters: Each diver can take home up to one bushel of Oysters (200-250) Oysters must measure at least 3 inches in any direction.
