Air and Nitrox
|
The air that we breath as a diver is probably
one of the most frequently over looked components of a safe and
enjoyable dive. At Aqua Ventures, we take the breathing gas you
use, whether air or nitrox, seriously.
We maintain our filter and compressor system
regularly and have our air tested on a regular basis to ensure
it is grade E or better. The results are then proudly displayed
next to our fill station. Our system has a storage capacity of
2700 cubic feet of compressed air and 1800 cubic feet of nitrox
(EAN32). Tanks can be filled as high as 4500 psi if rated to
that pressure.
We produce our nitrox using a membrane system
which starts with grade E air and removes nitrogen from it to
produce up to 40% Nitrox.
Most all air or nitrox fills can be done quickly
while you wait. If you are bringing in a large amount of tanks
to be filled, please call ahead so we can make sure our banks
are full when you arrive.

| Requirements for fills - C-card,
nitrox card for all nitrox fills, current hydrostatic test, and
current visual inspection from a recognized inspector. All aluminum
tanks also require a eddy current test (visual plus). All nitrox
tanks should be properly marked. |
