Aqua Ventures, which first opened for business
in May of 1990, is a full service snorkeling & scuba diving
store. It is owned and operated by Michael & Maureen Eversmier.
Our store is located in Baltimore County in the town of Cockeysville
which is just outside of the beltway near Towson. (see directions
below)
Aqua Ventures offers a large selection of snorkeling
& scuba equipment, scuba training from beginner to instructor,
lots of local activities, trips to tropical destinations, air
& nitrox fills, scuba rentals
and equipment repairs by our experienced
staff in our service department. We are well known in the area
for providing friendly, personalized service to everyone who supports
our store. |

Aqua Ventures' president, Michael Eversmier
Growing up in Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries led Michael to acquired an enormous interest in all aquatic life. His desire to be part of the underwater world grew in 1978 at the age of 16 when he started free diving and scuba diving and by 1982 he was teaching others about his passion. Since then, Michael has made it his life's goal to share the underwater world with others through teaching and photography. In 1990, Michael and his wife Maureen founded their own business, Aqua Ventures, Inc., which specializes in scuba training, equipment and dive travel. In 2002, Michael became one of fewer than 200 scuba divers in the world to receive Scuba Schools International's highest teaching award, The Platinum Pro 5000 Instructor card. This award is based on an instructor's professional ratings, highest level of training, number of years teaching and the amount of divers trained. In 2008, Michael also received SSI's highest diver award the Platinum Pro 5000 Diver card for his contributions to the diving industry and his impressive number of logged dives. Although Michael has dove and photographed up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida and from the Caribbean to the South Pacific, his specialty has been taking images of the not so often photographed fish and waterways of his home state of Maryland. Michael's underwater images have been displayed over the years in many photography shows and used by the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Delaware Beach Life, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the National Aquarium and other publications and magazines. |

Directions:
From the Beltway - We are about 5 minutes north
of the Baltimore Beltway.
Head north around the Beltway (695) towards Towson. Take interstate
83 north (exit # 24, approximately 2 miles). Take the second
exit - Padonia Road (exit 17) east to York Road. Turn north (left)
on to York Road. Aqua Ventures is 1 block north at the Gibbons
intersection.
From downtown Baltimore - We are 25 minutes away
from downtown.
Take the Jones Falls Expressway (JFX or 83 north) north out
of Baltimore. The JFX briefly joins on to 695 heading towards
Towson and then continues north outside the beltway. Take exit
17 Padonia Road east to York Rd. Turn north (left) on to York
Road. Aqua Ventures is 1 block north at the Gibbons intersection.
From PA - We are approximately 20 minutes south
of the MD / PA border.
Take interstate 83 south to exit 17, Padonia Rd. Turn left
(east) on to Padonia Road and follow to York Rd. Aqua Ventures
is approximately 1 block north at the Gibbons intersection.
